| Project Description: |
The Hills Motorway Limited (Hills Motorway), a wholly owned subsidiary of Transurban Ltd, has submitted to Government a proposal for the upgrading of the M2 Motorway. Transurban’s proposal incorporates:
- widening eastbound from two lanes to three lanes between Windsor Road and Pennant Hills Road and Beecroft Road and Christie Road
- widening westbound from two lanes to three lanes between Beecroft Road and Pennant Hills Road
- a new ”Park and Ride” bus interchange at Herring Road
- a new eastbound bus lane between Herring Road and Delhi Road
- new access to Western Sydney with west-facing on and off ramps at Windsor Road
- new access to Macquarie university and Macquarie park with new east-facing on and off ramps at Herring Road
- a permanent cycleway reinstated from Lane Cove rd to Pennant Hills Rd and a bypass of the Norfolk Tunnel; and
- conversion to cashless tolling.
